Episode Poll: 3.20 The Prom

Guys, I need a poll today because my mood is gloomy so we're doing this thang early. I command you all to vote, comment, and entertain me. Go!

Next poll will be over the Graduation Day two-parter (MEGA POLL). Next week, I'm gonna be in England, and I honestly don't know if I'm gonna do the poll or not. I'm gonna have to wait till I get there to see what my downtime is like. I'll update to let you guys know either which way.

Okay, that said, let's do The Prom!

1. Joyce visits Angel and tells him that he needs to make "the hard choices", essentially letting him know that she would prefer Angel not be dating Buffy. Was Joyce in the right for going to Angel with her concerns without talking to Buffy?

Yes. Buffy wouldn't have been receptive anyway.
46(37.4%)
No. Joyce should have talked to Buffy first.
49(39.8%)
No. Joyce shouldn't have interfered at all.
12(9.8%)
I have another answer
2(1.6%)
Not sure
14(11.4%)

2. On that note, Angel's clearly been concerned about his relationship with Buffy since the previous episode. Would he have still broken up with her if Joyce hadn't talked to him?

Yeah. Joyce just sped things up.
86(68.3%)
No. Angel wasn't ready to accept it until someone else said something.
22(17.5%)
Not sure.
18(14.3%)

3. Angel breaks up with Buffy with the reasoning that he can't give her what she needs and that he wants better for her. Is this the correct decision? I'm gonna let you all pick multiple answers on this one. Select all you feel apply.

Yes. Thanks to the happiness clause, Buffy and Angel have been playing with fire. It's not fair to Buffy, and Angel was right to make the decision for her.
41(15.9%)
Yes. Not specifically because of the happiness clause but because Buffy could never have a healthy relationship with a vampire.
19(7.4%)
Yes. Not because of any of that other stuff, but because Angel, specifically, was bad for her.
43(16.7%)
Yes. It was the correct decision, but the wrong reasoning. Ending things was the best decision for Angel, not Buffy.
51(19.8%)
No. If they both really wanted to (and Buffy clearly does), they could have made it work regardless of the obstacles.
22(8.5%)
No. It wasn't Angel's call to decide what's "best" for Buffy.
69(26.7%)
I have another answer.
7(2.7%)
Not sure.
6(2.3%)

10(8.0%)
No
97(77.6%)
Not sure
18(14.4%)

7. Buffy hits a big feel-good moment when given the Class Protector Award in this episode. A common criticism of Joss' shows is that he's too angst-happy and rarely allows his characters to be happy. Are there any future moments in BtVS that match the feel-goodedness of this particular moment?

Yes. (Commenting would be nifty)
63(52.1%)
No. This is the high point.
