I think the vampire at the end is justified - the death is much more brutal than usual and contrasts with the reality of personal bereavement. (Oh how I longed for Dawn's tentative touch of her mother's body to somehow be the magic thing that would bring her back. But no.)
Joyce's death got to me most because we saw such detail of the effect it had on everybody in the group.
Why is there no ten star option? This has to be one of the best, most painful, most powerful episodes of TV ever made.
