No way. Classic!Spike is the best.
I like/dislike them both equally.
I have another answer.
Not sure.
2. Spike proclaims to Buffy that he can be good, like Angel. What say you?
Yeah. Angel had a soul. Spike has a chip. Same diff.
No. He's like a serial killer in prison.
He can be good - like Angel - but not just because of the chip.
I have another answer.
Not sure.
3. By the end of the episode, which woman do you think has the largest grievance with Spike?
Drusilla - Betrayed and offered up to be dusted for Buffy

4. Yep.
7. Oh yeah. Not one of Joyce's best moments. I have to think that her line was just there as a set-up for Buffy's "Spike gets off on violence" joke.
I like this interpretation so much that I'm going to pretend I believe it's true from now on. It's Joyce projecting her own anxieties!
Also, she is the one who invited Dracula in. Maybe all Summers women have a thing for vampires...
Indeed! And the scene as a whole seems to exist mostly so it can end with Buffy going to Spike's lair.
In episodic TV like BtVS there is going to be weaknesses like that -- perfunctory scenes and out-of-character lines -- and a lot of times I'm pretty forgiving. But the particular nature of this weak scene has always really grated my cheese.
Oh, and regarding #4, I realized that Buffy does know that Angel is incapable of love without a soul. So she originally had a good reason for thinking that soulless vampires were incapable of love, because that was her direct experience.
