3. I went with "I have another answer," because I think civilians should definitely be allowed into the fight if they are committed to it (which the Scoobies are!), but I do think that greater responsibility by, er, Giles should be taken to ensure that they don't all get killed. That I think is a mark against Giles but not Buffy. That said, I guess by season five they have proven themselves pretty up to the task.
