Oh, the S9 comics are probably gonna be a thing now. Good time for a refresher on my comics stance.
This here post outlines my stance, but it can really be summed up pretty simply here.
1. I don't read the comics because the medium doesn't work for me.
2. Comments on the comics are free game on most posts. I'm not likely to talk about the comics much, myself, in comments as I haven't read them and so am not in a position to discuss them at length. But, hey, other people may respond, so feel free. Also, I don't do comics snark, so if you try to engage in some snarky bonding with me over the comics, you're gonna hit a dead end.
3. On a few posts, I may explicitly ask that the comics not be mentioned in comments. I do this when I'm wary of the topic leading to comics wank, which - being as disinterested in the comics as I am - I don't want to get mired in, or when I'd prefer to keep the discussion centered on the canon that I'm actually familiar with.
When I ask that there be no comics comments, I mean that there be literally no mention of the comics. No raising the comics canon in relation to the topic of discussion. No comics snark. Not even that clever thing where you slyly mention how you're not mentioning them (because, really, that's still mentioning them). I have little patience for people who don't abide by my requests in my own space.
Episode poll will be up later today! :)
