You prompted me to look at the same thing for mine... and I discovered something rather interesting. The referring site that sent me the most visitors (169) was Google, which isn't surprising. The site that sent me the second most visits (151 visits, spending an average 5 minutes each) was gabrielleabelle.livejournal.com, which is rather surprising. And no, i'm not going to pay you a commission. :-)
Also, search terms used to find me included "james marsters buttocks" (no thank you) and "centaurs can't masturbate" (but they can!) and the rather precise "was eliza dushku in buffy opening sequence?" (yes, though not by name)...

Huh. I've found that LJ navigation causes some wonky Analytics results. For example, someone clicking through on their friends page will show as a referral from them, when it's most likely that person taking a poll or commenting or something. Or even just clicking through to you from their profile.
OTOH, a lot of my referrals come from the herald, so it's also possible other people are being linked through somehow.
And I inexplicably have a large number of referrals from Facebook. That's new.

Yes. For example, every time I read my own flist, Google Analytics records it as a pageview, which skews my overall results quite a bit.
What I'm really curious about is this one livejournal user from whose flist I've been getting several hits a day for a good month and a half now - even though she hasn't friended me or any comm to which I post. I don't understand how a person could get from her flist to me.
Can't you select "Do not include me in my own statistics" to avoid that? Or does LJ not have that option? (DW does, in the account settings.)

Maybe she has you on an RSS feed, which shows up in her flist. That's how everyone who reads my DW journal via RSS shows up, as a referral from their flist.
I guess that's possible. Setting up an LJ feed of my LJ is really the long way around, though.
The other option is if you're linked by someone else she has friended, like a recs list. If that post appears in her flist, and she clicks through directly to your journal, then it would show up as coming from her flist.
I've only ever had one search show up on DW (I think I have my journal set to minimize it popping up in search results?), and it was "damon/stefan/elena threesome."
