So, I was pondering about running themes in Buffy/Angel and Buffy/Spike. Like, for B/A, "forever" seems to be a catchword of some sort. That specific word gets used repeatedly in reference to their relationship. I find that interesting (and intend to do some meta on it when I am not so lazy have the time).
Buffy/Spike, though, appears to have a couple catchwords. "Real" is one (from Crush, Intervention, S6, and beyond). Also, "fire" or fire imagery (which I suppose is not quite a catchword but it serves the same purpose).
This intrigues me. Did Buffy/Riley have a catchword? I don't think so. Course, maybe it's notable that they first kissed in Hush, the silent episode.
Okay, I have no substantial thoughts. I'm just procrastinating on studying. That's a worthy goal, right?
