I'm glad you mentioned this. My first reaction to the link you posted - and I admit I reacted to the title, rather than reading it first - was, "Whoa, I hear fans calling for Joss's head all the time." Because there are plenty of bitter fans who hate him. But you're right, even though there's plenty of criticism about Joss, it's not sexist in nature. Criticism of Marti always comes back to her always wanting James's shirt off.
Marti gets too much of a bad rap. I think she made mistakes, sure, but she's also responsible for some of my very favorite episodes, and the kink seemed to increase once she took over so I have to love her for that.
