2. P.G., again.
3. WttH (everyone is introduced, along with their roles), The Witch (we won't just deal with vampires), Angel (love will be complicated on the show), Nightmares (our characters - especially Buffy - has baggage), Prophecy Girl (we're willing to shock you and our leads can [and by implication will] break your heart)
4. Teacher's Pet ... bad bad-guys, bad CGI, bad logic - ugh.
5. T.P. (how appropriate) and I Robot... mostly for the dullness and the clunky robot-suit.
6. Ms. Calender - the moment she showed up she pulled the attention onto her with her sarcasm, fun and energy.
7. Angel - the acting was horrible (Sorry, David) and he had too little to do to justify his presence until 'Angel', but that only opened up more questions about why he hasn't helped Buffy way more if he has powers. Plus ALL of his warnings were irritatingly and unnecessarily vague.
8. Giles/Jenny - the only couple I've wanted to see together after like 20 seconds of screen time opposite one another.
9. Six - too much time spent isolated from the gang, but he was snarky, threatening and his scene in P.G. with Buffy was awesomely chilling.
10. Seven - too many middling to mediocre episodes, but the characters and dialog were sparkling even in those. This is good stuff, even if next to later seasons it will suffer in comparison.
What? You mean it didn't make sense for Buffy to go chasing Fork Guy through the sewers when Xander's life was in danger? ;)
10. See, I rated S1 fairly low in preparation for those later seasons. Now I feel mean cause I do like S1. It's cute.
