In honor of me having finished the first three seasons, here's what should be a really easy poll. It's just about preferences. I list something from the show, you say if it worked for you or not. Very subjective. Basically asking, "Did you like this part?" So no right or wrong here.
Enjoy.

I do not remember Angel doing a bellyflop, but it sounds hilarious! Now I kind of can't wait for my rewatch, just because of that!
The ones that overwhelming work for everybody thus far--handcuffs, the rocket launcher, the Wish, etc.--make me really, really happy.
I love Snyder as a character, but it's totally right that he gets eaten. He needs to go out with the school. It's all symbolic, you know.
I can't remember if Buffy trying to kill Faith worked for me. The fight scene itself--definitely. But if Buffy was willing to let Angel die to save the whole world a season before, it makes no sense that she would sacrifice a human (even one she wasn't getting along with) to keep him alive, now does it?
I need to rewaaaaatch. Like now.

Oh, total naked bellyflop. 'Tis priceless.

Yep. Agreed. :)

That's my primary issue with it. It seems a 180 reversal that Buffy would put everything on hold (like...the vastly more important stuff with the Mayor) to kill someone to save her boyfriend, who ended up playing a fairly trivial role in the final fight.
I get what they were trying to do. Cause in Enemies Faith had taunted Buffy that Buffy couldn't kill her because then she'd become her. So it's Buffy reaching that point of killing Faith and literally becoming her shadow self...but then that doesn't really go anywhere interesting cause Buffy just lets Angel drink from her and then that's all wrapped up.
So, yeah...had to vote Nay for that one...
Word.
Also, yes, naked bellyflop is quite priceless.

Actually, I think it does make sense, because she's already lost him once, which means she'll do anything she can to avoid losing him again. Plus, compared to the end of the world, sacrificing one person is a small price to pay - especially when it's the person who tried to kill Angel in the first place. And bonus - Buffy can justify it because Faith is evil and working with the Mayor. (Thought: You know, the Mayor didn't really seem to have big plans for Faith during the whole ascension thing, but wouldn't it have been interesting if he did? If, by taking Faith out of the game, Buffy had actually helped win the battle by throwing off the Mayor's plans? Instead of, y'know, the entire Angel/Faith death arrow thing being completely irrelevant to the plot.)

Everything else got yay'd.
I go back and forth about the virtues of Buffy putting Faith in a coma. Tactically, it's an okay idea, Faith has gone off the deep end and it was logical to assume she'd have a part in the ascension-like distracting Buffy from getting at the Mayor. I don't think Faith deserved the knife to the gut, but she certainly deserved something.
The fight itself was so well done though!
And as for Buffy and the Master...I enjoyed their fight to the death more in The Wish, I think.
*knows you so well!*
Um, anyways, Whistler as a character was kind of really dumb, but the 'big moments' speech was well-written. Went with "nay" though, cause they could have just given the voiceover to someone else. Like Giles!
Loved the Cordy death fake-out. Totally bought it.

True. I do like the speech. It always gets me choked up. Cause then Buffy's kneeling down next to Kendra's body and...sad...

Hee. Me too. :)
*raises hand tentatively* I'm too much of a sci-fi geek: there are no shitty special effects, 'kay? Mayor!snake, swirly portals, it's all good. (except magic snow. that sucked.)
And I'm too lazy to research this, but to me it seems like Whistler and Doyle could have been the same character... like maybe they wanted to bring Whistler back for AtS, but the actor wasn't available? Dunno if anybody was thinking that far ahead when they introduced Whistler, though.
Cordelia's fake death was a cruel trick, but very well played, I thought.
And Whistler? Totally blah...just lame all around, and annoying.
And I thought Anya didn't remember...? I mean, clearly she realizes she's lost her powers after her saying repeatedly "done" doesn't work, but...And it's possible this was addressed in the comments, but they are long...
Yep yep. Totally had me fooled.
Anya's a bit inconsistent. In The Wish she doesn't seem to realize what has happened. But in Doppelgangland she obviously has because she recognizes vamp!Willow and knows exactly what's going on.
God, I love this show.
Big Nay. It's the worst thing that Buffy ever did until present day, including comics. She goes after Faith in pure vengeance, premeditated, with the clear intent to kill her and fed her to her lover.
She could at least shackle her, strip her of her powers, like Giles did to Buffy in 'Helpless' and try to trade her to the Council of Watchers for Angel's cure.
