I was sure Willow's was from season 4. It must have been very early, right?

Dawn's I can pick the episode for, no problem - and I think I know the episode for Oz, too.

Tara I only managed to get right because I recognised the door. :)

Fun poll! I was so sure I was right on Willow and Xander, but it turns out not so much, so I have to settle for being pleased about being right about Giles and Spike.

The only ones I was fairly confident of were Dawn (too much makeup to be any earlier than S7), Anya (that hair!), Tara (the door, yep), and Angel (from "Angel" - I just rewatched that ep a few days ago). I got lucky a few other times, but...

And, trivial fannish opinion: I love Willow's haircut there (for which I guessed S4, oh well). Absolutely adorable. Quite likely the best makeover of the series.

Edit: except, it seems I was wrong about Tara, too. Phooey.

Tee hee, I laughed at the Angel pic 'cause I can always tell what season he's in by the shape of his face. His face is so slender there it couldn't be anything but S1!

Given that the yellow bit behind her's probably a locker, I'm guessing the Cordy one is from Bewitched Bothered and Bewildered, when Xander asks for the necklace back.

How embarsssing, I got nearly all of them wrong! I really, really need to re-watch Buffy. I got the Angel one right though! (It's from the episoide Angel too - it's the only one I can identify!)

I gotta hand it to ya. Those caps are hard. I knew if you're not a big Xander or Willow fan, you'll choose the wrong season, but since they're my favorite characters I knew right away that Willow is in an early S5 episode and Xander is in S3. Buffy was easy, same as Cordelia, and Angel, and Dawn "Him", and Anya. I wasn't sure about Giles, Spike and Tara. Chose S5 for Giles, S7 for Spike, and S5 for Tara.

I got a few of them right. Spike, of course. I think I could pick out the season Spike every time, LOL.

Heh, my mostly random guessing resulted in an almost-complete FAIL on these. I didn't even guess for Giles, and I was one season off for a lot of the of the others.

Although I guessed S7 for Buffy, which was way wrong... but I guessed based on the expression on her face, which kind of says, "Crap, but I thought it couldn't get any worse!" She wears that expression a lot in 3 and 7 (and 5, but with an underlayer of depression which isn't in this photo).

Ah, well.

Can't believe I got the Spike one wrong! :(

Man. I am SO NON-VISUAL. If you asked me to identify quotations, I'd be fine. But this - I'm clueless.

Well, the only ones I got right were Buffy, Willow, Angel, Cordelia (but that was a guess) and Anya. not sure what that says about me. :-)

I think the Willow picture is from 'Weight of the World' and the Angel one from 'Angel'. I think the Anya one might be 'All The Way'. I'm very surprised that the Tara picture is S4; she looks too self-confident...

I was okay at this. The Buffy just seemed obviously S3 to me; I don't know which ep.

Willow is clearly talking to Xander in The Replacement, so that makes it S5.

Xander, I had no idea - I said S4, but it was S3. Hmmph.

Giles, I said S4 and it was S5 - so yeah, I dunno.

Angel is looking at Buffy right before they kiss for the first time, which I think is in Angel - cause then he vamps out. Either way, clearly S1.

Cordy, I wasn't sure if it was S2 or S1 - lucky guess.

I'm very surprised at how many got the Dawn one wrong - I guess I've seen Him too many times. So yeah, it's from Him, S7.

The Spike I *thought* was a Glory-saga pic, but I guess not. I think it might be about to get beat on by Buffy, but that tells me squat.

Oz is S3 because it's in the cute stake-holders trying-to-keep-things-together episode - so the one after Anne, which is...Dead Man's Party, I think?

I said S5 for Anya. I remember this as her smiling fakely when saying something about how Giles keeps leaving and then coming back - but that could be either season. And I might be wrong about that. XD

And Tara is S4 because...I don't remember the ep or what they're doing, but she and Willow go to Giles' house for...something...it's just S4!


Anyways, that was fun! You should do it again.

As I was taking it, I thought the girls were much easier than the guys. I knew Xander had to be either 2 or 3 and Spike had to be either 5 or 6... and went with the wrong one both times. Giles and Oz, I had no idea. Angel was a gimme.

Buffy, Cordy, and Anya were easy, Willow I thought was easy but got wrong anyway, and Dawn fooled me with the pulled back hair. I thought that was a younger Dawn style. Tara was sort of a guess, but I was assuming s5 or later because she looks pretty and not awkward.

This was fun! And harder than I expected, but 7 out of 11 isn't all that bad (though I have to confess Giles was pure luck, because to me, he always looks the same). But anyway, the main thing is I got Spike right... *wipes brow in relief*

Did not answer poll, but I didn't have more than a random guess to any of the questions.

(Although oddly enough, when I saw lavastar's comment "she and Willow go to Giles's house for something" I realized which episode the Tara screencap was from.)
